--Worship at Woodridge

There are four worship opportunities each week at Woodridge Baptist Church.  The church gathers for worship on Sunday morning and Sunday evening.  Prayer Meeting is held each Wednesday.  Worship services are held in the Worship Center.  Prayer Meeting is held in the Chapel.  Worship at Woodridge is directed toward God, for His glory, and is reverent and respectful of His greatness. The structure of worship is engaging, calling for active participation by all who are present.

Worship services are held each Sunday at 9:45 AM, 11:00 AM, and 7:00 PM.  The music at the 9:45 AM morning worship service consists of traditional hymns and the 11:00 AM morning worship service consists of contemporary praise songs.  The evening service is a mixture of traditional and contemporary music.  We love the hymns that remind us of our heritage and teach us so much theology. We also love the newer praise choruses that are usually set to Scripture passages and allow us to "Sing a new song to the Lord (Ps 96:1). Our goal is to glorify God and to strengthen and encourage His people through music, prayer, and the preaching of God’s Word.   We also share special music from our Adult Choir, Praise Team, Praise Band, soloists and instrumentalists as well as other choirs and ensembles.

We also have Preschool Worship Time available for the 4 and 5 year olds at 11:00 AM, upstairs in the Children's Building. This will allow the preschoolers to learn more about worship before they actually attend big church. We will introduce them to worship activities in a simple and easy to understand way. The Worship KidStyle material we use will coordinate with their Sunday lessons. This will be a time for the preschoolers to be introduced to Worship on their level with fun, interactive songs, bible verses, and bible stories

The Wednesday evening service is devoted to prayer. Prayer requests are shared. There is some congregational singing and a short devotional time. Then, people pray. Different arrangements of praying are used from week to week, but the object is still the same; the people of God meet to pray. While the adults and children meet for prayer meeting, the youth meet for Refuge in the youth assembly room. This worship service is interactive, sincere, and exciting. In this service God is honored and youth learn how to worship and how to lead in worship.
