--Missions

Woodridge Baptist Church is a mission minded church. Church members of all ages can learn about missions, support missions, and participate in missions. Mission education and action groups within the church include Mission Friends, Girls in Action, Royal Ambassadors, Youth on Mission, Women on Mission, and Brotherhood. These organizations provide opportunities for mission education and involvement in local mission work.

Each year, the church supports the Annie Armstrong offering for North American missions, the Georgia Barnette offering for state missions, and the Lottie Moon offering for international missions. These offerings are promoted with special prayer and education emphasis weeks during different times of the year. In December 2009, the church collected one combined offering to be distributed among these three mission works.

Our 2009 goal for the World Missions Offering was $145,000.

God blessed and we exceeded our goal by collecting over $158,000.

The church also supports and sends a group that goes to do mission work in Honduras each year. The youth participate in a mission trip each summer. The church sponsors a ministry at one of the local Mardi Gras parades. Mardi Gras Ministry 2011 will be at the first parade on Saturday. Come out and visit our booth in Shreve City.  If we get rained out, we'll try again the following weekend.
